What you need to know about your Residential Elevator

If you are thinking about installing an elevator in your home, make sure you use a builder that has a reputation for knowing what to do! When you build your home and you are not ready to install an elevator just yet, its a good idea to go ahead and have the builder install the elevator shaft while in the framing stage. This way when you get ready to install your elevator down the road, the framing part is done. Most elevators will require concrete block, masonry shafts and some commercial metal door frames, depending on the location of your elevator.
